Aftercare instructions

Healing is the part you control. Pigment settles and skin recovers over several weeks, and what you do in the first days decides how even the result looks.

After brow or lip work

• Keep the area clean and dry as instructed. Blot gently — do not rub.
• Do not pick, scratch or peel any flaking. Pulling flakes off takes the pigment with them and leaves patchy areas.
• No makeup on or around the treated area while it is healing.
• Avoid swimming pools, saunas, steam rooms and heavy sweating until fully healed.
• Keep the area out of direct sun. Once healed, use daily SPF — sun is what fades pigment fastest.
• Sleep so the area is not pressed into the pillow for the first few nights.
• Expect the colour to look darker and sharper at first, then soften as it heals. Judge the result after healing and your touch-up, not in the first week.
• Come to your scheduled touch-up. It is part of the process, not an extra.

After a facial or skin treatment

• No makeup for 24 hours after microneedling.
• No hot yoga, sauna, swimming or heavy exercise for 48 hours.
• Use a gentle cleanser and daily SPF.
• Do not pick at flaking skin after a peel — let it shed on its own.
• Pause retinoids and acids until your skin has settled.

When to contact us

Some redness, swelling and tenderness is normal. Contact the studio on (646) 881-4643 if you have spreading redness, increasing pain after the first couple of days, discharge, or a fever — and seek medical advice if you are concerned. We would always rather hear from you early.
